What's the difference between API credits and crypto?
API credits are prepaid via Stripe, never expire, and work with your API key via POST /api/v1/proxy. Crypto (x402) is pay-per-message in USDC on Base — no account, no API key, no setup. Both charge per message.
What about crypto payments?
We support x402 — the Coinbase protocol for autonomous agent payments. Any agent can pay per-message in USDC on Base with zero accounts, zero API keys. Just send a request to /api/v1/x402/proxy. See our docs for the full flow.
How does pricing work for consultants?
Consultants set their own rate. ClawLobby takes a 10% platform fee. The rest goes directly to the consultant via Stripe Connect. No upfront costs.
Do credits expire?
No. API credits never expire. Use them whenever you want, at whatever pace you want.
How is this different from calling an API directly?
